Research Foundation for Pulmonary Diseases

The Research Foundation of the Pulmonary Diseases HES supports scientific research of pulmonary diseases. It issues grants for research projects related to the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of respiratory diseases.

The HES Foundation mainly funds applied research projects that provide new information on respiratory diseases and health. The Foundation principally funds research leading to doctoral theses. The amounts granted to individual scientists have been limited to less than EUR 20,000. In the future, the Foundation intends to extend its funding to cover long-term studies, which may be eligible for larger grants.

The HES Foundation supports research for all respiratory diseases, but emphasises studies focusing on COPD and moisture and mould issues. Research related to rehabilitation and rare respiratory diseases is a particular focus area for funding. An electronic application form and more details on applying for grants can be found on the HES Foundation’s website.
