Luovi Vocational College

Luovi Vocational College is Finland’s largest national special-needs vocational college. Luovi offers a path to employment and a good life to young people and adults who need special support.

The college offers both rehabilitative education and professional qualifications. The education is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Luovi operates in more than 20 localities, and the administrative centre of the college is in Oulu. Luovi has approximately 1,800 students and employs roughly 700 experts each year. In addition to teaching, Luovi offers expert services in vocational special education.

On 30 October 2017, the Ministry of Education and Culture presented Luovi with the quality award of vocational education. The grounds for granting the award included the active development of quality management over several years and target-oriented, knowledge-based management. Luovi quality signifies excellence in all operations and the work of every employee and student of Luovi.
