Organisational cooperation

The Organisation for Respiratory Health in Finland is a member of the social welfare and health care umbrella organisation SOSTE, in which we seek to influence future health care reforms together with other organisations.

We also cooperate actively with other organisations in, for example, the NDC network for non-communicable diseases and the Tobacco-Free Finland network.

The Organisation for Respiratory Health in Finland is a member of the Finnish Network for Rare Diseases, Harvinaiset, established in 1995, as a national cooperation network for social welfare and health care organisations working with rare diseases. The objective of the Harvinaiset network is to improve the position of people with rare diseases, and their families, in Finland, identifying and highlighting challenges and perspectives related to rare diseases, and promoting the operations of its members and cooperation between members of the network and with other public-interest organisations, communities, authorities, the public service system and researchers. In Europe, the voice of the Organisation for Respiratory Health in Finland is heard through the EFA (European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations) and Eurodis (Rare Disease Europe Patient Organisation) organisations. We also communicate directly with the Finnish members of the European Parliament. We regularly engage in discussions and convene with our Nordic sister organisations (Nordic Heart and Lung Alliance, the NHL network).
